Thank you for your interest in reviewing for the Journal of Student Affairs at Colorado State University! Reviewers play an integral role in the scholarly review process by reading the submissions and recommending articles for publication.

Reviewers will work remotely to review and provide feedback on submissions to the Journal over the course of three rounds of reviews. Articles will be provided to Reviewers via an online portal and will be returned to the Editorial Board in the same way. The number of articles varies depending on submissions, but Reviewers should expect to read approximately 5-8 manuscripts over several weeks in each round of review. Reviewers are provided with training and an evaluation rubric to assist with making recommendation on submissions to be published.

This is a great way to continue developing APA skills and an opportunity to engage with current research in the field of student affairs. Your efforts will also be recognized in the Journal, as your name will be published as an official Reviewer for the Journal of Student Affairs. Applications are due Sunday, October 4th, 2020, 11:59pm (MT). For any questions or concerns, please contact
  • As a reminder, the Journal is a student run publication that values providing opportunities to develop editorial skills, critical thinking, and writing skills. Formal journal reviewer or copy editing experience is not required.
